Watch World War Z - Information!

Ladies and gentlemen I feel as though I have to write this post as a service to you all. I, like many other people, am excited at the prospect of World War Z being made into a movie.

And I, like many people, was excited to see that Brad Pitt will cast himself in the movie.

However, if you haven't read the book I need to explain something to you. The main character in Max Brooks' World War Z isn't a zombie fighting machine. He's a writer, a reporter, a recorder of history and facts.

So, if Brad Pitt is going to star in the movie he won't be killing zombies. And if he's killing zombies he won't be in the lead role. I'm sorry if I just burst some bubbles.

I still believe that, if done right, this movie is movies is going to be a great watch. There are so many scenarios and locations to be touched on and so many stories to be told. It has the opportunity to be epic.

Stay tuned for more information as World War Z goes into production and after as we all wait for the release of World War Z!

Watch World War Z - Big Casting News - Brad Pitt!

During an interview with author Max Brooks at San Diego Comic Con, MTV got an awesome piece of surprise information.

Not only will Brad Pitt's production company be making World War Z into a feature film directed by Marc Forster, Pitt himself will be in the starring role.

This is huge for a movie that has been in Plan B's hands since 2007 and at times looked like it may be stuck in limbo forever. Now, we don't have shooting dates set or anything that solid. But this is a step in the right direction for Zombie lovers everywhere.

Thank you Comic Con for coming through with great information once again.

Stay tuned for more information from San Diego and all over the world as we wait for the cameras to start rolling on World War Z.

World War Z - Update!

World War Z just got a little more serious.

With the announcement that Brad Pitt is producing the movie I feel a whole lot more confident that the production value and quality of the story telling will be worth the watch and fair to the book.

There have been rumours that Marc Forster was on his way out from his directors position, but there is no confirmation to be found and his name is still on the project everywhere that I look.

There's still a lot of work to be done to make this movie happen and I haven't found any casting information other than some people thinking that Pitt may act in the movie as well as produce it.

I'll be back with more info when it's out there.

World War Z - The Zombies Are Coming!

The announcement has been made that Marc Forster will be directing the movie version of Max Brooks’ World War Z.

To be released in 2012, World War Z: A Oral History of The Zombie War has the chance to be the next great zombie movie.

Fans of the book may be unsure about the transition from the page to the screen, but with writer Matthew Michael Carnahan (The Kingdom, State of Play) on board everyone should be able to take a breath and relax.

The movie is currently in pre-production and continues to go through the appropriate channels at Paramount on the way to being made.

Check back in for more information moving forward. Everyone loves zombie movie news, myself included.
